Jason Kelce is a renowned professional football player with an estimated net worth of $50 million. He is most famous for his tenure with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, where he has achieved significant milestones, including winning Super Bowl LII.

Throughout his career, he has been selected for multiple Pro Bowls and has earned several first-team All-Pro honors.

In 2023, Jason made history by competing against his brother, Travis Kelce, in Super Bowl LVII, marking the first time two brothers played on opposing teams in the Super Bowl. Following the 2023 season, Jason hinted at his retirement from professional football.

Earnings

Over his NFL career, Jason Kelce has accumulated approximately $86 million in total salary. In 2022, Jason and his brother Travis launched a weekly podcast titled “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.”

The podcast quickly gained popularity, and in August 2024, the brothers signed a lucrative 3-year, $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery podcast service. This agreement allows Wondery to distribute and sell advertisements for their show.

Early Life and High School

Jason Kelce was born on November 5, 1987, in Westlake, Ohio. He grew up in Cleveland Heights, raised by his parents Donna, a banker, and Ed, a sales representative in the steel industry.

His younger brother, Travis Kelce, also pursued a career in professional football and later gained international fame for his relationship with Taylor Swift. During his high school years at Cleveland Heights High School, Jason played as both a running back and linebacker on the football team.

He was also involved in other sports, such as hockey, and played the baritone saxophone in the school’s jazz and symphonic bands.

College Career

Jason attended the University of Cincinnati, where he played football for the Bearcats. After redshirting his first year, he played in nine games in 2007, contributing to the team’s 10-3 record.

The following season, the Bearcats improved to an 11-3 record and won the Big East championship. In 2009, the team had an undefeated regular season and once again claimed the Big East title.

However, the 2010 season was challenging, with the team finishing with a 4-8 record under new head coach Butch Jones.

Professional Career with the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles selected Jason Kelce in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a key player, becoming the starting center in his rookie season and making history as the first rookie in franchise history to start all 16 games at center.

In 2012, he was named the starting center again but missed most of the season due to MCL and ACL injuries. He made a strong comeback in 2013, starting all 16 games and helping the Eagles reach the playoffs.

That year, the team set a franchise record with 442 points and 6,676 yards. In early 2014, Jason signed a six-year, $37.5 million contract extension with the Eagles and earned his first Pro Bowl selection that season. He received his second Pro Bowl selection in 2016.

Jason’s standout season came in 2017 when he started all 16 games and was named a first-team All-Pro. He played a crucial role in the Eagles’ victory in Super Bowl LII, securing the team’s first Super Bowl title.

He continued to excel, earning his second first-team All-Pro selection in 2018 and his third in 2019. In 2019, he signed a one-year contract extension with the Eagles. The following year, he started his 100th consecutive Eagles game and was selected for his fourth Pro Bowl. In 2021, he earned his fifth Pro Bowl selection and fourth first-team All-Pro honor.

After considering retirement in 2022, Jason signed a new one-year contract with the Eagles. That season, the team reached Super Bowl LVII, where they faced the Kansas City Chiefs, with Travis playing for the Chiefs. The Chiefs ultimately won the championship.
